this bike needs to get produced - put me down for one. this wood bike concept is the thesis of a design student. the dual bike is positioned as a city/sport hybrid for the rider who bikes to work yet still has the occasional jaunt to the bike route.

That's a cool concept. I would like to see what this could develop into. I had the opportunity to ride one of Craig Calfee's bamboo bikes a few years ago: http://www.calfeedesign.com/bamboo.htm
I notice that he has since changed from carbon fiber to hemp lugs. :-) It rode like a very serious road bike, with no quirks. It was also a very cool statement on using renewable, alternative materials.
